I am very happy to share my clerical interview experience with India's one of the best website's working for the welfare of the students . Really it is a great platform where everything is shared at free of cost although we are living in a commercial world. Thanks to you people from me and all the readers(family members) of BA.
Coming to my interview:
Venue: SV university Tirupati
Panel: II @ 1pm
I reached the centre at 12.50 pm as it is very near to my home. As soon as i reached the centre a white paper and a sheet containing the order how to arrange the documents was given.
Arrange the documents in this way: 1. Interview call letter 2. Application print out 3.Identity proof 4. SSC mark list(take intermediate marklist also) 5.Degree certificate/pc 6. Cmm/semwise marksheet( no problem if u dont have semwise marksheets,, if u have take them also) 7. Caste certificate if applicable 8.Work experience 9. White paper filled with a paragraph in local language
Note: You can write any topic of your own choice in that white paper,,no marks for this,,just to ensure that the candidate is good with local language thats it
I took nearly 6-7 minutes thinking what to write ,,finally put the heading JANDAN YOJANA with a cunning idea that i may get questions on this if they see this...but a speed breaker in the first line itself, i don't know what financial inclusion is called in telugu,,so just felt pity on myself and took another paper and wrote about Tirupati
My document verification went smoothly and the lady recognised me and asked that you have came for po interview too right and said all the best ,,i said thank you and left to the interview room
Finally bell for me rang at 4.10 pm, and i entered in to the room taking three long breathes like virendar sehwag who used to take breathes under pressure
Me: May i come in please.Permission was granted by the centre person.Entered gently,, noticed 1 wise lady, 4 gentlemen ( 1 young hr)
Me: wished every one and turned towards lady and said good evening mam
M1: Good eve nagendra, take your seat
M1: As soon as sat, well what is your qualification?
Me: sir i have Completed Btech in mechanical engineering
M1: yes with 78.48 % in 2013??
Me: yes sir in 2013
M1: What have you being doing these days?
Me: I said preparing for bank exams
M1: only banks?? then why you have gone for mechanical engineering?? if you go you may get high salaries ... ongc,bhel are all offering high salaries??
Me: Sir i thought banking is the sector that suits me well where i can exhibit the skills which i acquired till now
M1: Ok if you have that much interest you would have come to banking in 2014 itself??
Me: Sir last year i missed the chance by 1 mark
M1: ok you have attempted lat year thats good
M1: What is your father and mother?
Me: My dad is banker, mother is a home maker
M1: Banker ,good which bank?
Me: Told everything(My dad works in AB)
M1: ok good, from which college you have graduated?
Me: I said JNTU anantapur
M2: oh in the campus itself , i said yes sir
M2: Good,(impressed as it i one of the top universities in AP) then you have not placed in campus ??
Me: I said no sir,, i havent placed in campus
M1: ok leave it, what is nationalization of banks?
Me: i said, it is nothing but taking banks under government's control is called nationalization
M1: what makes government to take up banks??
Me: i said ,, if the banks are in losses, in order to incur those losses
M1: ok, when AB nationalised you know?
Me: yes sir, it was nationalised in 1980 along with six other banks
M2: good, as our state has been divided, what should be learnt from this division?
Me: yes sir, what should be learnt is,,all places should be equally developed,instead of focussing on only one place
Me2: okay whether it is achieved now?
Me: no sir it is under process(got laugh while saying this),,,after listening to this he also gave a gentle smile
M2: ok after division what are the institutions that are coming to our state??
Me: I didn't get the question properly so i said,yes sir Rbi is planning to set up regional office in vijayawada
M2: that is ok,,anyother?
Me: i was silent as iam not getting him, then he gave a clue
Me: i told this time that yes sir IIT near tirupati and iim near vizag
M2: anyother?? i said sorry sir,no idea
now Hr: ok what does leadership means?
Me: I didnt expect hr, because in po interview no hr,, i said leardership means it is the ability to lead a team
Hr: what is the necessary of team work?
Me: sir it is necessary to have co-ordination among the members and to achieve results with high efficiency
Hr: doesnt look satisfied,,ok if an uneducated/old people come to your bank, how will you help them??
Me: sir firstly i will identify their needs and provide the required service to them
Hr: If they dont know how to fill the form,what will you do?
Me: I will take the form and fill it for them sir,,i have experience in this too sir. as my dad working in a rural branch, sometimes when i go there,i used to fill those forms
W: She asked me whether i have attended po interview?? ( she was in the same panel in my po interview too, i think she recognised me)
Me: yes mam

Me: Told whatever i know blah blah
M1: What is the first quality that a banker should posses??
Me: i said, as banks always deals with definite targets from time to time, one should be target oriented to be a good banker,,he should be self disciplined and should be able to lead a team and as well as should be able to work in a team
M2: What is the major problem, that all the banks are faced with??

M3: Tell something about AB
Me: it is a medium sized bank which was established in 1923 by sri Bhogaraju Pattabi sitaramaiah garu. At present there are 2241 branches . 19800 employees are there .AB has 2020 atm's. As on oct 2014, its business value is 260000 lac crore,with 145000 lac cr deposits and 114000 lac cr advance. The logo of AB is infinity,,it means that the bank goes to any length and do anything for the customer
M3: Good, who is the chairman?
Me: Mr.CVR rajendran sir
M3: Have you attended po interview?
Me: yes sir, last month i have attended
M3: Saying to other members, this guy is smart( myself felt like dancing there)
M3: If you get both po and clerk,which one you will opt?
Me: I said ultimately po sir
Ultimately,,saying this every one in the room laughed
M1: what is balance sheet?
Me: It is the snap shot of financial position of the company/institution/organization
M2: Thats it?? continue
Me: I said i have no idea
M1: Ok nagendra, you have done well, wished me all the best while giving a shake hand

IBPS Clerk IV Interview Experience: Raj Theja
NAME :Ratan verma
VENUE: Goluwala (Raj..)
I've been called for interview on 09/02/2015 in the afternoon session at 1pm. I was the 3rd person called to be interviewed in panel II.
They gave us a white sheet and told us to write any thing in TELUGU in 10 to 12 lines and they said it shouldn't be like a biodata form. After that they attached this paper with certificates at the time of certificate verification. After certificate verification, I was called to wait in front of the interview room at 2:45pm & my turn came at 3pm.
I entered the interview room by asking "May I come in sir?" and when they prompted me to come in,I entered with a big smile.
There were 4 members in the interview panel,3 gentlemen and a lady.
I greeted them "Good morning Sir!" n "Good morning Madam!" although it was afternoon.No matter how many times I told myself to wish them Good Afternoon,Good morning came out of my mouth like a reflex action.
After the greeting,they told me to sit down,I sat,and they started asking me questions
Gent3: So,Mr.Raj theja,in which year have you completed your degree?
Me: Sir,My degree course is complete in the year 2011.
Gent3: What have you done between 2011 till date?
Me: Sir,I wrote TOEFL n PGCET in the year 2013.But when I came to know that my dad is going to retire in the year 2014,I cancelled my plans to go abroad and to decided to prepare for bank exams as I didn't want to burden my dad.
Gent1: After retirement,Your dad still gets pension.Then what is the problem for you to go abroad? I find your reason Ingenuine.
Me: Sir,I came to know through a friend of mine whose brother studied in the United Kingdom that he paid educational loan debt after returning back home for a period longer than 2yrs from his salary.Moreover,I wanted to settle here for being close to my family,that's another reason.
Gent1: Yes,You are right.I have heard about students not able to devote themselves completely for studying too.They join in part time jobs to cover their expenses.Studying abroad is expensive.What is your degree?
Me: B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering Sir.
Gent3: What else have you done in the past years?Did you try for any software jobs?
Me: No sir,I didn't. But I wrote GATE exam in the year 2012,got 21 marks n disqualified with a difference of 0.03.I went through a stage of depression after the result.
Gent3: Where did your father work?
Me: Sir,my father worked as clerk in canara bank's branch in Guntur and retired in the same branch.
Gent1: Is there any interview you attended before?
Me: Yes sir,I attended IBPS PO interview here in this very room.
Gent3: Have you seen anyone of us in the your interview panel?
Me: Yes sir,you were there,turning my head swiftly at Gent1,I said you were there also.Both of them smiled.
Gent3: How did you perform in that interview?
Me: I think I performed alright sir.I gave frank answers to the best of my knowledge and I skipped answering questions to which I didn't know the answers.
Gent1: What's your score in IBPS PO?
Me:I scored 70 sir.
Gent1: So,you have qualified with minimum cut off marks?
Me: Yes,sir.
Lady: So,have you prepared well for this interview?
Me: Yes Madam,I think I prepared well.
Gent1: what is Puttamraju kandriga?
Me: Sir,it's a village adopted by Sachin Tendulkar.
Gent1: Under which scheme?
Me: Under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna sir.
Gent1: What is hud hud?
Me: Hud hud is a fast flying bird found in Israel Sir.The cyclone that caused devastation in Visakhapatnam was named after this bird.
Gent3: Do you know what the next cyclone will probably be named after?
Me: Gave a dazed and confused look.
Gent3: You seem confused.There is an international organization that names cyclones before they come into play.
Me: If that's the case,then I do not know the answer sir.
Lady: Tell us something about banking?
Me:Answered.
Lady: Functions of banks?
Me: Answered
Lady: What is plastic money?
Me: The money present in credit card accounts and debit card accounts
Lady: Difference between credit card and debit card?
Me: Madam,I do not know the exact answer.But what I know is that we have to credit money in credit cards for use,and that debit card is linked to the savings account.
Lady: Do you have to maintain an account for credit card?
Me: I don't know madam
Lady: Your father is a bank employee and you do not know?
Me: Madam,I have started using debit card since 2011.My dad on the other hand,doesn't hold a credit card or a debit card,he doesn't use mobile banking,and He always discourages me not to make online payments.(I was laughing out loud while saying this)
Gent2: You have studied computer science and engineering,right?why don't you tell him how safe it is to make online payments,to make him use latest payment systems?
Me: I told him several times sir,but he's afraid.("due to card frauds?").yes,sir.He follows old is gold morale.
Gent3: What is a negotiable instrument?
Me: An instrument of payment that can be transferred to others,sir.
Gent3: What are the negotiable instruments you know of?
Me:A cheque,a Demand draft and hmmm,,,,that's it sir.
Gent3: Ok.How do you transfer a cheque to payee?
Me: I'm guessing that it can be transferred by a telegraph....
Gent3: Oh,tell us everything.Telegraph,FAX,post...
Me: "Frankly,I don't know sir"-laughing.
Gent3: If you have to pass a cheque related to a customer's current account,what are the observations you will make?
Me: I will see the name of the payer n the payee.Check the balance in the payer's account to prevent bouncing of cheque,the signature of the payer,the MICR code.
Gent3: smiling-"Do you have anything to do with MICR?"
Me: smiling-I'm sorry sir.That's the work of the clearing house.I don't remember the security standard.
The Lady was expecting an answer.Gent3 said "madam,let's set him free.He will learn everything after joining in his job".
Gent2 said "Ok.You can go now."
I thanked them all before leaving and I came out of the room very happy.My dad was giving a look while I was walking towards him doubting if I had endured any torture.The first thing he told me was that I came out of the interview room 20minutes after I walked in.That was surprising to me.The interview was a jovial experience. Gent2 was the only person who spoke to me twice and in all the remaining time he sat very calm,looking at me very rarely.

I would like to share my interview experience with all BA readers and thank you Bankera adda for providing a gr8 flatform for us
Here is my IBPS IV CLERK INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE 1st day but not 1st show..i mean it was at 1 PM in Bangalore, Corporation staff training center...It went like a 100 mt race..only around 5-6 min
They allowed us at 12:30pm for verification.at same time they given a white paper to all of us to write a paragraph in kannada. They gave us 3 topics out of those we have to select one.
I have selected " My favourite Cricket player" topic.
By 2 :00 verification completed,but they panel called me at 4:30 PM.

M4: so you know Kannada how to write and read also?.
me: yes madam, as my mother's native is KK i know kannada from my childhood itself..
M4: good, will u read a paragraph for us (giving news paper to me)
Me:i read it, with little bit mistakes.
M3:you have to improve it.
me : sure sir,
M1: every one likes Sachin, why you fav player is UV?
me:Sachin is god father of cricket...but UV is good in evry aspect like batting, bowling,fielding,even captainship also...
M1:good
M2: don't you have placements in your clz??
me: Were there..sir but i don't have interest in IT,that's why i didn't attempted..
M2: than why did you joined in b.tech??
me: sir, in my +2 i was curious to know about Engg physics that's y joined.
M1: Do you know about SHG? what is it?
me: explained,but not much clearly
M4: What is GO GREEN,have you heard about it
me : explained.
M4: good..
M2: apart from interests from where banks will get large incomes??
Me : Being intermediates b/w customers and company accepting/paying bills.
M2: it is very less ri8?? tell me any other

Me : here i committed mistake..i said banks..

Me: i have prepared in my home itself,i didn't took any coaching.

M2: tell me who is rbi governor and depty governors?
Me : listed correctly.

My suggestions:The 1st thing is be confident and with a smiley face it covers 30% of ur interview correctly, If you have applied for any other states be ready for reading and writing,they are asking this for everyone, Don't try to exaggerating your self , they will shoot at correct points... All the best.

Here is my IBPS IV CLERK INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE 1st day but not 1st show..i mean it was at 1 PM in Bangalore, Corporation staff training center...It went like a 100 mt race..only around 5-6 min
